Please note the Community Centre will be closed over the festive period from Monday 23 December 2002 to Monday 6 January 2003. Special arrangements will be made however to open it for bookings for rooms that are made prior to the 18 December 2002.

Carol Singing and Santa Claus at the Community Centre

Santa Claus will be visiting the Community Centre on Sunday 22 December 2002 at 5.15pm after the carol singing which starts at 4.30pm. There will be gifts for the children and some light refreshments for the parents. Please come along and enjoy the fun.

    Sunday Breakfast Club

Steps are underway to get a Breakfast Club going on alternate Sundays for the P6—S2 age group, in the Community Centre from 10.00 – 11.00am. The hope is that adults and younger children will drop in as well, before going to Church or the Sunday Club.

The young people will then stay in the community centre, where a succession of “special visitors” will help them explore crafts, music, drama, and a variety of other topics.

All this is ready to start early in 2003, but there is a desperate need for leaders (responsible adults to welcome the visiting speakers and help out).

To date there are only two, and there is a need for at least another two to be able to open up on a fortnightly basis.

Anyone prepared to help should speak to Ivan Warwick on 421398.
