The Highland Museum of Childhood down at the Old Station would like to say a big “thank-you” to all members of the community for their support for our 6th annual Christmas Fayre & Open Day which was on 30th November. Thank you too to Strathpeffer Primary School for putting flyers in every pupils’s schoolbag. It was our best Open Day ever with record takings in the gift shop and around 150 free visitors to the exhibition. The Friends of the Museum also had a good day with their stalls in the Coffee Shop. We hope everyone who came had a good time, with a treasure hunt and lucky dip for the kids, while their parents indulged in a little Christmas retail therapy. We’d like to thank all those who gave items for the stalls and also those who came shopping – your continued help is immeasurable in supporting the work of the museum whether through education and outreach work or contributing to the local economy as a visitor attraction. The museum’s visitor survey prize draw was won by Georgie Millar, and the winners of the Friends’ raffle are displayed at the museum. Other traders on the platform, Pat at Green Kite trading and Fiona at Jill & Co., also extend their thanks. |
