In conjunction with the Scottish Executive: Digital Scotland Unit & the PIAPS (public internet access points initiative) programme, Highlander Web Magazine Ltd. are establishing a public internet facility for the residents of Strathpeffer.

HWM Ltd. has been operating from Strathpeffer since 1994 and for 2003 the addition of public access internet & computer use for the local community is something everyone could find useful.

As a part of the 2 year programme the computers will be made available to anyone interested in using them for a small charge of £1.00 per hour of use.

So if you have always fancied trying your hand out on the Web, having your own E-mail Address or simply just want to have access to top of the range computers and printers for homework, office work or personal use without having to go out and spend 100’s of pounds for one of your own, then give Mark Monaghan a call on 421500 between 10am and 6pm Mon - Fri.

Four Compaq 1.8Ghz PC’s running the latest Windows XP software and four colour printers, all linked to the internet, are currently being installed and will be ready to run prior to Christmas.

Further details on the facilities on offer will be made available in the next issue – or by calling Mark.
