Strathpeffer Rainbows is a thriving group with eight girls attending and a waiting list of six. Unfortunately due to other commitments the two leaders are leaving at Christmas.

The Girls are all aged between 5 and 7 years and are a really nice group to work with. Running the unit is not a chore, quite the opposite really, it is great fun and can be as easy or as complicated as you make it. Over the years we have done various activities, visiting the fish hatchery in Contin, trips to the Police and Fire Stations in Dingwall and to the Pantomime in Dingwall at Christmas. In the hall throughout the year there are the usual making things and just playing games, which is a great favourite.

It really would be a shame for this group to stop as the Girls really like it and look forward to coming. In all it would mean that there will be a whole class of girls who would miss out on the beginnings of the Guiding movement and who would have to wait until they are 7 to join Brownies. The time and the day can be changed to fit in with other commitments so basically you can make it fit in with you.
